CallMerlin Edge (on-prem) is the optional on-prem option for organisations and MSPs that want sensitive tool traffic, knowledge and logs under their own control. PIN rights, approval before writes and product updates run through CallMerlin. Edge is early access for design partners, not a standard product yet. What is CallMerlin Edge (on-prem)?
Edge does not mean the whole product runs offline in your basement. It is hybrid: sensitive execution and data stay in your organisation’s network or your MSP’s. Rights, catalog, billing and updates stay with CallMerlin. You get a stricter boundary for data, without maintaining a separate product per customer.

What does on-prem mean here?
On-prem means sensitive data and execution stay under your control, not on shared CallMerlin cloud servers. CallMerlin Edge (on-prem) is the product name for that option. You keep the data; CallMerlin still manages PIN, permissions and updates.
What problem does Edge solve, and for whom?
Edge does not solve “more AI features”. It solves a data boundary: prompts, documents, tool data or knowledge must not sit on the vendor’s shared cloud servers by default. That matters for MSPs selling managed AI, regulated mid-market, and security teams with data-location rules.

Sensitive tool traffic and private knowledge typically belong in your network or your MSP’s. Subscription, PIN management, integration definitions and product updates stay with CallMerlin. Updates stay fast and it remains one product, not a separate variant per MSP.

What we deliberately do not claim

Do we need Edge for audit?
No. Audit and traceability start with PIN, exclusive vaults and approval before writes in the cloud. Edge adds a stricter data location; it does not replace that model.
Who is Edge not for?
Teams that mainly want to start fast without a hard data-location rule. They should begin on standard cloud. Edge is optional, not a prerequisite.
