Add Merlin as a bot in Slack or Teams and give your entire team access to 900+ integrations without opening a new tab.
Your team lives in Slack or Microsoft Teams all day. That is where decisions are made, questions are asked and actions are agreed upon. But when someone wants to check an invoice, look up a deal or create a task, they have to switch to another system. Not anymore. Merlin now sits in your Slack workspace and Teams environment as a bot with the same tools, permissions and capabilities as via phone or widget.
How it works
- Add the Merlin bot to your Slack workspace or Microsoft Teams environment via the CallMerlin dashboard (Connections > Slack or Teams).
- Each team member verifies once with their PIN code in a DM to the bot.
- Then simply type your questions in a channel or DM: @Merlin how many outstanding invoices do I have?
- Merlin replies in the thread with the result, visible to the channel or only to you (depending on DM vs channel).
Same permissions, same security
The Slack and Teams integration shares the same permission system as the phone and widget. If your PIN only has CRM read access, the bot has that too. Sensitive actions (write, delete, send email) require 2FA confirmation via the authenticator app, even in Slack.
No business data is stored in Slack or Teams itself. The bot sends the question to our servers, executes the action within the permission system, and only sends the answer back. Credentials and API keys stay on our EU servers. Conversation content for AI may go to xAI (US) for inference.
Why not just build a Slack bot?
You could indeed put a Zapier bot in Slack that does a few things. The difference: Merlin understands natural language, combines multiple tools in one answer, remembers context, and has a complete permission system. No command syntax to learn.
- Natural language: just type your question in English, Dutch, German, French or Spanish.
- Multi-tool: Merlin combines CRM + accounting + email in one answer.
- Context: Merlin remembers earlier questions in the conversation (and learned facts).
- Permissions: enforced per user, not per Slack channel.
- Audit: every action is logged, regardless of channel.
Examples
- @Merlin what are the outstanding invoices this month? (Moneybird)
- @Merlin create a task: send proposal to Jansen, deadline Friday (ClickUp)
- @Merlin send a summary of Q2 deals to the sales channel (HubSpot + Slack)
- @Merlin how many new contacts do we have this week? (HubSpot)
- @Merlin remind me tomorrow at 09:00 about the board meeting (tasks)
Availability
The Slack integration is available from the Professional plan. The Microsoft Teams integration is available from the Business plan. In both cases: same minute counting as chat (starts as 1 minute per session; intensive back-and-forth may add extra minutes), same tools, same permissions.
Add Merlin to your workspace today. Go to Connections in the dashboard and click Slack or Teams.
